The article describes an important physical experiment which has demonstrated the Earth’s rotation. The experiment was performed in Panthéon in Paris for general public, which made it even more attractive. It is described how to demonstrate the experiment principle and its results at upper secondary school using a mathematical pendulum fastened to a gramophone. Some personal information is also included.
