The aim of this paper is to obtain some common random fixed point by extending the concept of uniformly R-subweakly commuting mappings to the case of non-starshaped domain in q-normed space. Random best approximation results have also been obtained as its application. This work provides extension as well as substantial improvement of some results in the existing literature.
