Br(z)o... (?) – not a review and not a polemic
Antiquitates Mathematicae, Tome 3 (2009).
We do not know the Polish version of the family name that the mathematician Johannes Broscius (1585–1652) was using. Its most known reconstruction is „Brożek”. But it also can be „Brzozek”, which agrees well with the existing old documents.Except rare instances, it is impossible to know – within accuracy better than one hour – the birth moment of an infant in XVI century. This implicates that we can also have doubts the exact day of the birth.
